Hi, my name is Jon Dysert

I began my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey back in 2008. Being a fan of MMA, the grappling aspect of it all stood out to me the most, so I set out to join my first BJJ school. In July 2015, I relocated to the Seymour/Knoxville area, where my passion for martial arts, specifically Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, continued to grow. Shortly after receiving my Brown Belt, I realized that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was my true calling and was what I wanted to do full-time. It was at that time I decided to leave my current job and open up Seymour Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Seymour, TN.

Seymour Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, which is centrally located between Knoxville, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, & Pigeon Forge, TN, is the area’s premier martial arts school offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & No-Gi Submission Wrestling classes for men, women, & children of all ages and all levels from beginner to advanced. Our academy prides itself on always providing a family-friendly environment that caters to hobbyists from all walks of life while simultaneously holding a strong position in the competition scene with our advanced competitors.
