Jon Dysert - Owner and Instructor of Seymour Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Jon has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 10+ years. He currently holds the rank of Black Belt under Multiple World Champion Samuel Braga. Jon is originally from South Florida which is where he began his Jiu-Jitsu training. In July of 2015 he relocated to the Seymour/Knoxville area. After about 2 years and shortly after he received his Brown Belt Jon began to contemplate whether his current career path suited him. His love for Jiu-Jitsu took over and that's when he decided to open his own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy. A few months later Seymour Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy opened it's doors. Like most, Jon fell in love with Jiu-Jitsu after his very first class and he feels that if you're ready to put your fears aside and change your life for the better, you will also share the very same experience.

Carolina Dysert - Martial Arts Instructor for Kids and Adults

Meet Caroline. She attended her first class in February of 2017 and has been in love with Jiu-Jitsu ever since. She competed in her first tournament after only 3 months of training and took first place in her division. She loves the fact that it's a good form of exercise and helps keep her in shape. Caroline believes Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone, but it is especially important for women to learn for self-defense and confidence building. "Grappling has definitely changed my life for the better. It has given me more confidence, helped lower my stress levels and improved my endurance overall. It is mentally challenging, physically empowering and most definitely a lot of fun." Caroline received her Blue Belt December 9th, 2017.
